old, faded, falling apart, and someone else will salvage the bits and use them
in new altered art. It's the best that any piece of art can hope for

Blog Candy, Workshops, Clever Tots and Bargain Buy

Another workshop all done and dusted and they have booked me again for a double session next time for a Christmas Project, so much more can be accomplished in two hours! I love to see what people come up with when they are given a free hand to do what they like, more than that I love to hear those words 'Gosh I didn't realise I was Artistic'
Everyone has an artistic side - look how young children love to paint and draw without really caring what it looks like as long as they like it and mum and dad are sure to praise that's all that matters, sadly sometimes along the way the creative side is squeezed out of us and it needs to be rediscovered.

Talking of young people, have a look here at a selection of peoples finished projects and tell me which was done by a four year old who came along with her dad.!
Oh and I would like you to meet Billie....

First Issue of a new mag called 'How Your Body Works' you know the sort , you have to buy every issue to build your complete skeleton, which @ £4.99 an issue will end costing you hundreds of pounds, but issue 1 and Billies skull is only 99p... ripe for altering!!

and the answer to which project was completed by 4 year old Charlotte is...
When asked if it was for her mummy, she said..... 'No it's for me!'
and lastly.... just to check whether or not you are still awake....
If anyone would like one of the sample projects that I did for the workshop (apart from the bird one, that's going to the Art Raffle) then leave a comment and next saturday I'll pick 3 names using

  1. They're all fantastic & I'm sure Charlotte has a huge arty future! How did you manage all that in an hour?!!! And as for Billy; can't wait to see how he ends up!

  2. I'd love to have one of your sample projects.

  3. Looks like everyone had fun. They all look great. Dee x

  4. Can't wait to see how Billy turns out! When are you going to run a class up here in Linkon then Nicks!!! lol

  5. Hello Nicks..I havent visited your blog for ages note to self visit Nicks blog more often!! I have seen that ad for Billy as well and before I could say anything my 9yr old said that is going to cost a fortune to make they do listen when you tell them something!!!! I like your because bag and thanks for visiting my blog

  6. Hi Nicks, well you do seem to have been busy since last I looked. I would love to be entered into the draw. Bet that Billy dfoesn't end upin bright colours...... or maybe he will..

  7. How weird was that, my word verification was 'billys'.
(Does two comments mean two chances lol?)

  8. Oooo pick me, pick me! I ESPECIALLY like the greenman collage, top left of the posting! Did you do that? Amazing....

  9. Every time one of these ads comes on He Who Thinks He Is The Font Of All Knowledge (otherwise known as OH) calculates how much it'll cost to completethe project...... usually about £400... so my visits to crafty places seem cheap in comparison! Billy was a bargain at 99p!!!!!

  10. looks like everyone had a fab time, and cant wait to see what billy will turn into

COMMENTS - Thank you for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate your views. I am sorry I have had to add 'word verification' (i find it very annoying myself) but I am getting increasing amounts of spam - please don't let it stop you commenting xx
