Day 4 - This song should bring back lots of good memories - and it does, but thats mixed with some very sad memories because the person it reminds me of is no longer with us - made worse cos it was one of his favourite songs and tragically the words came very near to the truth - one a positive note I will be seeing Rod Stewart in concert tonight!

I said to matt that I thinking about this one and he came up with the same song that was in my head and the same holiday (well it would be the same holiday cos we were there together!) It was on the radio all the time!

This song (or rather Hymn) reminds me of ummmm not so cheerful my mums funeral - but I am not being morbid cos it also reminds me of a lot of good times she had at her beloved WI. Also it reminds me of staying with Hans a German friend of my dad's whilst we were taking a year out and cycling through Europe - he was Dad's German counterpart (my dad was a translator) and Hans used to love watching The Last Night of The Proms - but what he didn't like was that (in his own words) 'the B***** Germans dub German over the top of the English and they dont get the words right'. So my dad had to record it for him each year and send it over so he could listen to it in English!

Not sure I can dance to it, but I did at my wedding with a special couple of friends - it was a sight to behold LOL

well its not a song but a beautiful piece of music - I remember seeing a most wonderful firework display of this at a concert in Earlham Park - the slowest/quietest fireworks ever enhanced by a bird which decided to fly over at the same time, completely in time - magical moment

Gawd how do I pick one?? so many favourite groups! Taken me ages to think of this one, its the hardest so far! So I have gone for a group I have loved since a child (which is a long time ago) and a song I have always loved cos it always makes me feel good and its a huge regret I never saw these guys in concert....

Not really sure how to interpret this one - so I picked this song, as I actually really like it - the words are sad if you listen to them properly - and maybe most of us should feel guilty about ridiculing people, or at least not trying to understand and encouraging their creativeness - or any aspect of peoples lives (not that there is any pleasure in that kind of guilt)

this was such a no brainer - I loved this album from day one - listened to it literally thousands of times and still love it just as much - my absolute all time favourite, but it was difficult to choose one track because they are all classics - so here's the tile track - I want to see you all rockin!!
ok ok so I have used this song for my day one choice, but I am going to use it today as well, when all seems wrong in the world, this reminds me all is not wrong. And I have given you a different version - which is just as beautiful - I discovered Iz a few years ago before he became so well known, shame he isn't here to enjoy his success :-(

the last day - and what a silly one, its the same as day one! My favourite song is my favourite song, whether is was last year, or the year before, or the year before that and it will be next year - I love the song and there have been so many good covers, but noone can sing it like Sachmo, so you have got him again ... enjoy!
My favourite line is - I see friends holding hands saying How do you do?, They're really saying I LOVE YOU - I love my besties esp Sparky, Lisa Ejay AJ, and my Friday's , love lots of others as well too many to list cos I would risk missing someone out ....
