MY JOURNAL

2011 is going to be the year of my Journal, It's my challenge to myself to complete a Calender Journal, each month I will upload my monthly 'diary' here along with any other pages I do - my journal will be my own personal 'anything goes' space - but you are welcome to a snoop if you would like!

I'm joining in with the inspirational Kathryn Wheel - hop over to her blog if you want to see some awesome Journalling!

Firstly a few pages I have already done...

  1. This is just such beautiful expressive art. I would love to get into art journaling and am trying to this month but find it hard to get out of my 'professional artist' hat and do something just for chaotic fun. The best I could muster was getting a book on teaching teens/kids to draw with a bunch of creative exercises in it.

  2. Great to see you joun in this challenge too Nicks, I did it last year already, at least tried to, and it was great fun.
Your journal looks super, love the colourful backgrounds and stamped rings in true Kate style:o)

  3. I really like the bright expressive nature of our pages, they feel for organic in nature. Journaling seems like such a great way to free up the expressive thoughts that sometimes get clogged when facing a blank canvas.

  5. I found out about your blog through Traci Bautista's workshop and boy am I glad.
It is so crisp and clever and the ideas you have are amazing.
Have you ever made an art journal from an old book? If so, is there any place on your blog giving us a tutorial?
I am really going to enjoy your work this coming year.
