Twas the night before Christmas......

Well I bet all the chickens and turkeys up and down the land are keeping very quiet tonight..... Naturally our chooks are very safe, they are just being good in the hope that Father Christmas will bring them a stocking full of Mealworms....... they wont be disappointed!

I used my metal letter punches to stamp out the wording and had a glorious half hour with my hammer, hitting the letters and listening to 'Twas the night before Christmas' by my favourite Louis Satchmo Armstrong
I then covered the rest of the 'tag' with Terra and stamped into it using the AS Sequin Waste stamp - waited for it to dry and then painted over it with Claudines Paints, blended and once dry swiped over with Barn Door Distress ink, just to pick up the highlights.

A friend Kathy sent me these cute Chicken buttons a while ago, I just gave them some santa hats!
All together now...... On The Third Day of Christmas, My True Love Sent To Me......

My treat today is....... I don't know! Matt is treating us all to something. I usually cook the full meal on Christmas Eve, but the family for one reason or another are in different directions this Christmas, so its a quiet day for us and Matt is cooking........ so if you don't see me again, you will know why!

So that just leaves me to wish you all a VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS and thank you to Jennie and Hels for letting me join in with the Artistic Stamper Creative Team, I have had a ball xx

Art should be shared....

But I have found someone totally copying some of my stuff (why they would want to heaven knows) and claiming it as their own inspiration... so while I find it a complete honour for people to gain a little inspiration from my tat, please be honest.

while i think there is a place for most things at some time or other...I do dislike peel-offs with 99% of my being, but and this is a BIG but there is the odd and very odd occasion that they can be used without being too offensive (boy that hurt, it was almost an admission that i have used them)

WHAT ARE ATC'S??? Artist Trading Cards

Miniature works of art created on cards have been around for centuries, largely used as business cards. The modern-day concept of ATCs was conceptualized by artist M.vanci stirnrmenn in 1996, an idea born of older sports themed trading cards, and became a movement that denounced the tradition of critiquing and appraising art, and embraced the process of one artist connecting with another and exchanging styles and techniques.
ATC are art collectables but the one rule that makes an ATC derive from their origins: the dimensions of the ATC must be 2.5"x3.5", or 64x89mm.
To this rule are appended a couple of conventions. First, an ATC mustn't be sold, only exchanged, as the whole essence of these tiny works of art is about artists meeting in person, by correspondence, online etc and exchanging their works, thus getting exposed to and experiencing many personal styles and techniques. Second, on the back of each ATC the artist writes part or all of the following information: name, contact information, title of the ATC and number (i.e. if it's a one off original or part of a series).
