We recently decorated our hall using some fabulous wallpaper which is covered in empty 'frames' the idea being that the frames get drawn in - its been up for a couple of weeks now but no-one has been brave enough to be the first (me included) That was until Auntie Liz and Auntie Kim came round yesterday - they didn't hesitate! (well Kim did a bit but Liz soon persuaded her!) So here is the first Work of Art on our wall - Liz chose the frame right in front of you as you enter the house - its a pretty nice sentiment to greet you!
This is the wallpaper in situ - as you can see there are quite a few spaces to fill !
Kim's self portrait and a picture of Liz - ha ha looks like Liz has a beard - Kim didn't realise she had picked up a calligraphy pen LOL
and a bit of forgery me thinks! Looks suspiciously like Liz's handwriting!!
(mind you the kids do think that Auntie Liz rocks!)
Over to more serious issues.... My brain has been on one track recently - thinking about HugBinders and not a lot else - so I had actually forgotten that I had promised to make three shrunken heads for the pantomime we are all involved in over the half term holiday, eeekkk not long away, so I had to get going on them this morning and here they are - Mmmmm attractive!
Talking of HugBinders, its crept up on us very quickly - three weeks today the Workshop will be in full swing and lots of covers will be made, books bound and parcelled up and sent. Cant wait, its all getting very exciting and the total raised is looking very good already!
If you don't have a clue what I am talking about hop over to www.hugbinders.blogspot.com and take a look!
Right now off to make more lists of things to do and then cross things of the 'to-do' list!
What a great idea that wallpaper is!
ReplyDeleteI think your shrunken heads look fab.
What a news filled blog, great! Wall paper is looking good, I cant spot a single wrinkle anywhere. It is such a good idea. And the heads look wonderful. How do you have time to do all you do, I feel exhausted just reading about it!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant wallpaper Nicks and such a terrific idea; will the stars of the Panto be contributing to your wall as I presume Hubby is playing the Dame again.........

The wallpaper is awesome! I just finally got permission to paint my rental place. I'm looking at getting chalkboard paint for my main 'living are'(I'm in a bachelor suite)wall so anyone and everyone can draw and redraw on it
ReplyDeleteThat's fab! Can you just imagine if a gang of us came over all at once... that wall paper would alter very quickly. I'm dying to see if anyone add a 3D element or glitter or embellishments!! You should just have a party!
