Well off I went last night, and what a fab time I had, its run by two super talented local artists, Meg Foster and Jessica Perry - how inspiring can two ladies be!
Last night was Dry and Wet Felting and we got alot done in the two short hours.
Here are my efforts.....Two dry felting projects, done in an hour, a quick and effective technique. I'm not sure they are actually finished yet, I think they could do with a bit of machine stitching and some beads..
And finally, aren't I a lucky girl?? Totally out of the blue I had an email to say I had won some blog candy. Unbeknown to me, Shona of An Artful Life gives away a little gift to a follower of her blog. She gives people a choice of 3 little beauties to choose from, and I immediately was drawn to this butterfly because of the words 'Create Daily' something I try to do.. well now I have a gorgeous reminder to do just that! Thank you Shona I will treasure it
To be in with a chance of winning a copy hop over to her blog here
Really love your dry felted peices and can't wait to see what the wet felted ones are. Don't forget to show and tell :-)

ReplyDeleteYour felting pieces are gorgeous. Congrats on your win. I just love that butterfly reminder.
ReplyDeletejust started An Artistic Mother's Group where we will be going through 12 projects together from Shona Cole's new book The Artistic Mother. Her desire is to help mothers find a to fit art into their every day, even if it's just a little something. I would so love for you to join us. You can read more about it on my blog; and if you're interested in participating, just leave me a comment, and I'll add you to the list.

PS If this is not something you are interested in doing at this time,or even if you are, maybe you could do a little blurb about it for me so that other artsy moms can join. It might be a help to them if they are looking for inspiration and/or an accountability group. We start March 6th, but anyone can jump in at any time. We will spend two weeks on each project. Blog about our progress and link to all of the other participants. Thanks so much for your consideration.
