Those Blasted Craft Room Fairies!

Where were they whilst I was at Ally Pally this weekend?? They were supposed to tidy up so that my desk didn't look quite so bad when I dumped my AP purchases on my desk upon my return! That's it they are sacked! The Housework and Ironing Fairies are just as bad, what is the world coming to?
So here is my desk as it is this morning, I resisted giving it a quick tidy before I took the photo this morning - well that much is obvious!
I had a great time at AP meeting up with friends and spending far too much money, most on the LBCrafts and Artistic Stamper stands. Was lovely to meet Tim's number one Girl - Linda Elbourne... trust me she looks nothing like her photo's she is only 21 in real life!
Only arrived home Monday night (no I didn't get lost I was staying with the Bessies) and was looking after a houseful of kids yesterday so haven't had much of a play, but did get out a pot of Viva Inka Gold which is a bit like 'rub and buff' which Lin was demonstrating, using it on metal. I had a quick go last night on some mirri-card that I have kicking around. Looks good, at long last I may have a use for the Mirricard I bought in a job lot when I started card making.

Purchases still in their bags!

Pots of InkaGold, Still playing with the PaperSoft-Colour... not convinced by that yet!

Bit of 'over shiny, don't know why I ever bought it' MirriCard, now grunged up with Inka-Gold and more to my liking! This was just a quick play at midnight last night as I was on my way to bed.

There is never a dull moment when I stay with the Bessies.. they asked if I would go and collect a new swing seat and help them erect it..
don't think we did too bad since these are the instructions that came in the box... maybe the mouse should have stayed to help us!

But we managed... here we are celebrating with a confetti bomb.... God bless that Swing Chair and all who sit in her

And here is the famous tree, now embellished with another bomb!

HAGDW everyone... don't forget to check out Mrs Dunnits Blog and have a nosey on WOYWW!

  10. Wow, you have a ton of things to play with, Nicks. I simply had to stop by and see what you were working on, since I'm really fascinated by your blog.

This is my first ever WOYWW and I love being snoopy, too.

  11. Glad I'm not the only one who finds the 'fairies' lacking in certain departments. Love what you did to that mirri card.

  12. Sounds like you had a fab time. Re Pink its not my favourite colour that green, but IKEA didn't have green pots so choose pink to go with my mat; which is only pink because I don't want to mess up the other side which is black!!!! Hugs Pam x

  14. Best use of mirricard I've seen in ages, and I love how the ladies are putting together the swing seat and the bloke is faffing about with a camera and, probably, giving orders too!! Must have been a House Mouse eating up those instructions! Enjoy your new stash.

  19. Lots of fun things.

In the midst of the craziness of life, remember to carve out some "you time," a little "mother culture," and make something lovely each day to nurture your own soul, and then you will have more to offer to others and prevent burn out as well. And don't forget that The Artistic Mother's Art Group can help with that. I find that the group is helping me to balance life, motherhood and being artistic.

I'm so glad you are a part of our group, and I look forward to seeing your versions of the projects we are all doing together in The Artistic Mother by Shona Cole. Please let me know if there is ever anything that I can do for you or if you ever have any questions.

    May God bless your day.

  26. OK so where are you hiding the rest of the stash you brought.. you wouldn't need a trolly for just 2 bags LOL
Was nice to see ya again, if only briefly.. next time will defo have to try and stop for a nice cuppa and a chat.
I spent most of my cash with LB and AS too lol
Once i'm done doing the woyww rounds i'm gonna have a play, and try the mirri board as i too have this sitting looking ugly lol

  27. Did you think that by leaving the stash in the bags it wouldn't look like you'd bought everything in the place (excluding Devils dandruff of course.....)
And the mirri board idea is about to be tried 'up north' as they say.....

............. just had a thought... you didn't bring the mouse home with you did you????????? lol
