The Swinger is in Town

Hello all you WOYWW's ad welcome to anyone who isn't a WOYWWer yet ..... why dont you hop over to the WOYWW originator's blog and join in?
Today - as my desk is unusually bare and devoid of crafty projects on the go, so I am swinging -
swinging to the left
(just had to check that, its the hand I don't write with.. even though I am in my fifth decade I still have to double check which is my right and left, I have a condition called leftrightconfusionitus)

so this is where most of my stash is stored, it may look a mess to you (BTW where is Mrs Scary B these days??) but I can promise you I know where everything is. The white boxes contain some of my unmounted stamps, and the unruly lot of boxes underneath hold my stash of 'bits'

For someone who very rarely makes cards these days I seem to have alot of card, (so much so the cardboard shelves seem to have collapsed a bit) so why do I never have the right colour??

Ikea drawers half decorated by my kids a few years ago, as you can tell by the rather blobby decor - they cringe when they see them but I love them!

Inside my drawers i am quite tidy - its outside I am not!

sweetie jars are not just for sweets, they are for keeping all those little bits and pieces that WILL one day come in useful!
Next week, I may post the right hand side (that's the side I do write with) - that is IF any of you
organised freaks you are ever brave enough to return!

I am in the process of trying to make it tidy enough for me to invite a crafty friend round to play... Now this is a test to see if Mags does really check my blog... Mags are you brave enough to venture in here??

  15. As a neat freak, I would not be uncomfortable in your studio. And I love organized drawers, too. After all, when it comes to your storage, if you have to rummage, it's a real time buster. Love those little drawers, too. The fact that they hold so many memories is precious. Happy WOYWW from the LEFT continent (grin).

  16. Ha, ha, ha. Too late, The Queen of Clean is here! Although it's been a while I have to admit.... and I have to confess that I'm not quite as anal as when I first started this WOYWWing lark, I'm really quite mellow as can be evidenced by the (relative) state of my own desk this week! So, shock horror, no telling off from me, but I'm sure someone else will be along soon to fulfill that role. I'd like to have a good rummage though and I'm very glad to see you keep tidy drawers!

Oh I have given up and just point saying that side - you try telling someone (subjects) left and (subjects) right when you are looking at an image whilst referring to the subjects features on a portrait - - confusion? this way....thank God I am not a surgeon - left kidney - oh His Left not My LEft well now there is no kidney left...at all

  32. Well, yes, it does look a LITTLE bit messy, and your descriptions of what is where are a TINY bit vague, but nevertheless it looks well-loved and busy. I really like the fact that you've kept those drawers just as they are. I have a huge clip-framed collage of Queen Elizabeth I on my living room wall. People give it odd looks but my son and his friends did it at junior school! (Altho a couple of years ago he informed that he 'only really did the hand' - but never mind!)

  33. where DID you get that sweetie jar??? lol
    Looks good

  34. Oh those children art drawers are a delight - I bet you smile inside every time you see them. I don't know if I could find it again, but there used to be an online shop that sold jars full of useful bits just like yours - only they charge 45 dollars! Almsot irresistible!

  35. Of course I read your blog!

Can't wait to see it in the flesh!!!

Tea, white, one sugar please!!!! xxxxx

  36. OK, if that's not 'tidy' can you come around and sort out my office? Your 'mess' looks like an artwork in itself!

  37. Can I come over to your house and play, please?
