Well the Wrecking has begun!

DD George and I both received copies of 'Wreck this Journal' in our Christmas Stocking, and have decided it will be a joint Mum/Daughter project this year. Anyone else wrecking?

I honestly didnt think it would be so scary to get going! But eventually we have started - it really does go against the grain to wreck a book, but it is very therapeutic and liberating! I have made some 'stand alone' pages at the top of this blog, so will record our 'journey' there - please feel free to have a look throughout the year.

arrgghhh this bit hurt!! but it did say do a sudden potentially destructive action with your book....
throwing it across the room is actually destructive!

and this is what happened when we passed the books over to Matt and Ed

I am also using another 'page' to post pictures of my Journal - I have set myself the challenge of completing a Calendar Journal in 2011. I'll tell you this time next year whether or not I succeeded!

  1. Yaaayyy! Off the starting blocks and away! lol

  2. Oh this looks like it could be fun, i must investigate further...

  3. Does this mean I have to blog mine?! lol
I have already thrown it under the car and driven over it! lol

  4. NO NO NO a thousand times NOOOOOOOOO my heart lurched when I saw Wrecking your Journal and when I saw this I could have cried hoo. Loving your calendar page. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year despite this new destructive xx

  5. Fabulous.. must show my DD your blogpost!! lol
and wishing you and your family a Happy New Year ! See you in 2011!!
    Hugs xx

  6. I was so inspired by your Wreck this Journal post that I rushed off to Amazon and have ordered 2 - one for me and one for my DD!! It looks such fun, and I can't wait for them to arrive. I shall look forward to seeing what else you both come up with.

    Happy New Year!

  7. So glad you have decided to join in with the calendar journal challenge, and your page looks fab :-)
    Happy wrecking!

  8. Ha ha - love that journal for wrecking! How liberating. Fab January page - so colourful. I'm in this year too....and like you, I'm deciding that time will tell whether I make it to Dec! Happy New Year!
