Someday, the altered art you make today will be
old, faded, falling apart, and someone else will salvage the bits and use them
in new altered art.It's the best that any piece of art can hope for

Another WIP on WOYWW

All I seem to be showing you these days are WIP's - but this is not a quick project, it's slowly evolving. I did show you a old frame that Mags gave me to alter into something suitable for her new impending craft shed (bit of blackmail involved cos I want to move into her massive shed and play!)


So here it is - I'm really pleased how it is going, but there's a long way to go yet! As usual there is alot more stuff on my desk than there really should be but I cant work in a tidy space. Not sure if you can zoom in enough to see a really cute bottle next to the skull - I went to a party last Friday night (still recovering) and a friend there had the misfortune of her perfume spilling into her bag - not a misfortune to me cos she gave me the bottle - the lid is like a little crown - OMG its gorgeous.
Thats my lot for today, like always I seem to be rushing off again, this time to go shopping for food for a Mothers Day Lunch at school.... byeeeeee.... will  visit some of you later,
Can't believe that I will be back on Friday with my March Art Journal Page, doesnt seem 5 mins since I posted Februarys! where is 2011 going?? but meanwhile I wish you all a very happy WOYWW

    Wow this is a huge project Nicks and lovely to see your work in progress. Not only is your new bottle beautiful but so are the others on the sill and I am sure I saw a glass torso....am now getting glass envy.........lol

    I'm late enough to be able to say how lovely your journal is...can't tell that the waxy surface was a problem to write on! I love that you have more than one work in progress, it feels like you can add a bit of your current mood when you get back to it. This piece is going to be a stunner....I don't have a shed, regrettably!
