Watch Watch Out there is a Kevin about..

Thirteen years ago tonight I was cuddling my new baby daughter - it doesn't seem five minutes ago and now she is a fully fledged teenager! Every year since I have made her a birthday card, but fortunately I no longer have to make cutesy cards! Just before I went on holiday to Sunless Spain last week I found these new stamps by The Octopode Factory - and just had to break my lent promise of buying rubber stamps! (well I did break it on my trip to the Craft Barn earlier in the month but they were acrylic stamps so didn't count!) and as it was just perfect for DD's card I HAD to have it - so really on all counts it doesnt count

I just love these stamps - somehow four fell into my basket - not sure how that happened but it saves on postage ..... and one of the other stamps is going to be perfect for another Birthday card I have to make and.... ummmmmm have I justified it yet???

But................ I didn't eat Offal for the whole of Lent so that's good!!

(oh OH has just pointed out that I did have some Pate - but thats mushed up offal so that's ok ..isnt it???)

OK OK I give up, I am a bad girl and will never go to Heaven!

I digress.... this post was supposed to be a Happy Birthday for my lovely gorgeous teenage daughter - Happy Birthday Georgina - Loves Ya xxxxxxxxxxxx

A fun card, well done to a naughty girl with a big grown up daughter. Mine is 30 in a few weeks time, now how did that happen!!!!

Happy Birthday to Georgina, great card Nicks, didn't realise you loved offal.....lol! Do they do rubber stamping in heaven? If not, not sure if I'd want to go there......xx

Hi Lily - i got cedric, violet and white rabbit and another which I cant tell you cos it would spoil the surprise for someone - but if they looked at the site they would guess LOL

Art should be shared....

while i think there is a place for most things at some time or other...I do dislike peel-offs with 99% of my being, but and this is a BIG but there is the odd and very odd occasion that they can be used without being too offensive (boy that hurt, it was almost an admission that i have used them)
Book-a-trix... sorry but they do look like memorial stones and nothing anybody says will convince me otherwise.

WHAT ARE ATC'S??? Artist Trading Cards

Miniature works of art created on cards have been around for centuries, largely used as business cards. The modern-day concept of ATCs was conceptualized by artist M.vanci stirnrmenn in 1996, an idea born of older sports themed trading cards, and became a movement that denounced the tradition of critiquing and appraising art, and embraced the process of one artist connecting with another and exchanging styles and techniques.
ATC are art collectables but the one rule that makes an ATC derive from their origins: the dimensions of the ATC must be 2.5"x3.5", or 64x89mm.
To this rule are appended a couple of conventions. First, an ATC mustn't be sold, only exchanged, as the whole essence of these tiny works of art is about artists meeting in person, by correspondence, online etc and exchanging their works, thus getting exposed to and experiencing many personal styles and techniques. Second, on the back of each ATC the artist writes part or all of the following information: name, contact information, title of the ATC and number (i.e. if it's a one off original or part of a series).
