Someday, the altered art you make today will be
old, faded, falling apart, and someone else will salvage the bits and use them
in new altered art. It's the best that any piece of art can hope for

A revelation.... (of my PIF)

For those of you who aren't one of Julia's merry band of WOYWWers (and if not, then why not??) then you wont know that she turned us into PIFfers last week to celebrate the 104th week/2 year anniversary of her phenomenon. The idea was that we all made something that incorporated the acronym WOYWW (whats on your workdesk wednesday) and PIFfed if (passed it forward) to the person below you on her Mr Linky list -
are you still following this or are you completely confused?

Anyway I altered a box and it winged its way over to beautiful Finland to live with the ultra talented Tuire - now it has arrived I can blog it (if i had done it before Julia would have got very cross with me and come and untidy my ultra neat craftroom)

I  stuck some letters onto the side of the box and then covered the sides with aluminium tape - gently burnished around the edge of the letters to define them and then inked it all with alcohol inks

In honour of my desk I made a pretty accurate replica of it on top of the box - with bits and pieces picked up from the top of my desk and surrounding areas!

Popped  a few of my handmade flowers inside the box and sent it off to Tuire along with a little card just to say who it was from!

Tuire has made some lovely comments on it - and sent me a little extra quote that could have gone on the card - but I will use it on something I make

"All you need (besides love) is attitude!"

Yep I agree!

  2. What a great box! Are you sure you found those bits on your desk? I seem to be missing a few things, but it could just be buried under all the mess. LOL
    Happy WOYWW
