WOYWW - More Angels!

I wasn't going to post this morning cos I didn't have much to share but then the dawn chorus woke me up and i finished off another page for my altered book which is now a binder (next post down) so I though I would share that! Oh.... look its another Octopode stamp - quelle surprise!

So here is my desk.... not too bad this week..
Swing to the left and you can see a little box filled with some blocks of wood that I use for applying distress inks - sorry Sir Holtz, but your applicators are a big disappointment - I invested £5 in one after much deliberation - used it a couple of times and the velcro fell right off - from what I hear this is not an isolated problem - a few offcuts from OH's garage and some velcro I had lying around works a zillion times better and cost nowt!

swing to the right and you can see I still have the borrowed Cinch in my possession - but the reason for taking the photo is that I see Ed has left his Dad's Fathers Day present in full view.... that's not going to be a 'quelle surprise'  on Sunday morning!

and finally here is my girl - who was not impressed with Mum's early morning! She better wake up properly soon because today is a big day for her cos she can go for her first walk today!

After two weeks in a row of visiting everybody's blog, last weeks effort was abysmal, I only managed a handful - so sorry about that. This week is very hectic - but I will try 'to do better'

PS.. if you fancy a gander at the PIF I made - it has now been received and I blogged it a couple of posts down

Have a good week my WOYWW friends - and for anyone who isnt a WOYWW friend and has no idea what I am talking about, go and take a look at Queen Julias Blog and all will become clear"

  1. Love your ingenuity in making your own blocks - Lady Nick rules OK!

  2. Hello Nicks! Here´s the happy PIF-owner :D

  3. Hi - glad you did post this as your Octopode is gorgeous! I have one applicator where the velcro falls off but heating it and reapplying works - the others are fine. But your free ones are better!

  4. I have a feeling that a certain someone isn't going for a walk any time soon :-)....I felt just like she looks this morning :-)

  5. Love the page and the stamp you used. I own one of those Holtz's applicators and it did the same for me. Love your little girl! :) Is she a chocolate lab?

  6. I had a little bit of a nose around your blog - I really like those Octopode stamps! And your Pif is wonderful!

  7. Octopodes are definitely a Nicks stamp....oh yes.
Love the fact you have made your own inkers or whatever they are called, will definitely do something about mine now so thanks for the tip. Hope you both have a good walk...Annette x

  8. Love the idea for the inkers, I too had the same problem and got so fed up I have stopped using them! I just love your PIF too!!

  12. Never heard of octopodes before I discovered your blog but I love them

  13. Wow, hasn't Marzie changed! She is losing that puppy look and turning into a proper looking dog now! Hope you enjoyed your walk xx

  14. Awesome looking journal page today! I love all the colors and the sentiment...perfect. I like to think that I am a work in progress and take myself ratherly lightly also! Love the idea with the blocks cause I have had nothing but problems with the TH applicators. I have been taking my stamps off blocks so I think I will repurpose the blocks with a little velcro of my own! Thanks for sharing! Vickie #46

  15. Hi Nicks, its me again, the proverbial bad penny.... You can have the bag but it smells a bit from the take away

  16. I love your inky blocks! What a great idea, I haven't yet bought any of those TH dapper things, as They were just tooooo dear, will nick your idea!! Happy WOYWW!!

  17. Uhooi,,
Wow,, It works very good and creative,,

  18. I have the same problem with the distress ink pads. I also use cheap make up sponges (from the Pound shop). Love your journal page and I just peeped down to see your PIF gift - awesome!!

  19. Love the quote on the journal page! Yep, those TH blocks are a bit on the pricey side too, so you're saving yourself a boat load of money in the process too. Can't believe how the pup has grown, hope she enjoyed her walk.

  20. I had the same problem with the TH thingy! I made my own pads with Cut 'n' Dry foam and replaced the velcro. Job done!

  21. great work, i love to see peoples work spaces!

hope the first walk went ok!

  22. I keep lookin at the Octopode shop but I have no idea wot I would do with them!

  23. Oh I like to try this one also! Like the title, "WOYWW- More Angels!" :) Can you create my personalized card? that would be nice! lol Anyways, love the cards!
