WOYWW - More Angels!

I wasn't going to post this morning cos I didn't have much to share but then the dawn chorus woke me up and i finished off another page for my altered book which is now a binder (next post down) so I though I would share that! Oh.... look its another Octopode stamp - quelle surprise!

So here is my desk.... not too bad this week..
Swing to the left and you can see a little box filled with some blocks of wood that I use for applying distress inks - sorry Sir Holtz, but your applicators are a big disappointment - I invested £5 in one after much deliberation - used it a couple of times and the velcro fell right off - from what I hear this is not an isolated problem - a few offcuts from OH's garage and some velcro I had lying around works a zillion times better and cost nowt!

swing to the right and you can see I still have the borrowed Cinch in my possession - but the reason for taking the photo is that I see Ed has left his Dad's Fathers Day present in full view.... that's not going to be a 'quelle surprise'  on Sunday morning!

and finally here is my girl - who was not impressed with Mum's early morning! She better wake up properly soon because today is a big day for her cos she can go for her first walk today!

After two weeks in a row of visiting everybody's blog, last weeks effort was abysmal, I only managed a handful - so sorry about that. This week is very hectic - but I will try 'to do better'

PS.. if you fancy a gander at the PIF I made - it has now been received and I blogged it a couple of posts down

Have a good week my WOYWW friends - and for anyone who isnt a WOYWW friend and has no idea what I am talking about, go and take a look at Queen Julias Blog and all will become clear"

  3. Hi - glad you did post this as your Octopode is gorgeous! I have one applicator where the velcro falls off but heating it and reapplying works - the others are fine. But your free ones are better!

  14. Awesome looking journal page today! I love all the colors and the sentiment...perfect. I like to think that I am a work in progress and take myself ratherly lightly also! Love the idea with the blocks cause I have had nothing but problems with the TH applicators. I have been taking my stamps off blocks so I think I will repurpose the blocks with a little velcro of my own! Thanks for sharing! Vickie #46

  18. I have the same problem with the distress ink pads. I also use cheap make up sponges (from the Pound shop). Love your journal page and I just peeped down to see your PIF gift - awesome!!

  19. Love the quote on the journal page! Yep, those TH blocks are a bit on the pricey side too, so you're saving yourself a boat load of money in the process too. Can't believe how the pup has grown, hope she enjoyed her walk.
