Art Clears Away The Rust of Life
Don't you agree?
But then there is Arty Rust and there is real rust. Below is a picture of a rusted bit of metal that I picked up on the beach yesterday - look at the magnificent colours - they don't look natural do they?
I often look at the sky and think that if you were to be able to recreate the look exactly in a painting, it wouldn't look right - I think its the same thing here, we have been playing a lot with rust techniques on the course I am doing atm - all how we think rust should look, whereas in real life real rust can look like fake rust
I found quite a lot of lovely rusty bits on the beach yesterday - oh beach-combing is great fun, but I really should remember to take a rucksack with me... anyone remember my daughter and I hauling back virtually a whole car engine from a beach in somerset??
No car bits here, but a very interesting haul....
It was a lovely day for a walk on the beach... Sun was out which meant DH and DS had their shorts on, I wasn't so brave! It was Marzie's 1st (or 7th) birthday, so a trip to her favourite place to have a walk was in order
and then back home for a bit of Doggy Birthday Cake..
Happy Birthday Marzie, you really are your Mums Best Friend x
Totally agree Nicks!
ReplyDeleteblimey I never see anything on my beach - can you leave some of it to the tide to bring down to mine?!!
Wauwwwwwwww this is very very beautiful.
