A little Birthday Card/Pressie for a dear friend in Scotland - Mrs Mc is always so generous to me, sending little bits and pieces and how do I repay her?? Poor soul has a little bit of my tat for her birthday - not really fair payback is it ha ha
I hope she likes it.
It is another wooden block that I had left over from the blocks I had cut for my SIL's wedding invites. Wood is lovely to work on as it can take so much work on it. I embossed a piece of card and glued it to the block and then covered the whole thing using a technique I have learnt on Andy's course to supposedly get a burnt copper effect, but I played around with the technique and got a.... well a.... a nice effect LOL
Then I dribbled some crackle glaze over the top and coloured this with a copper krylon pen, Shrink plastic wings and a clay heart and clay word - friendship..
Isn't the internet a wonderful thing, I have made so many wonderful friends over the cyberwaves that I would never have met if it wasn't for Mr Bill Gates!
