WOYWW - I try, really I do

Now if you had looked yesterday morning this is what you would have seen...

As you can see I have been having alot of fun playing along with Andy Skinner's Timeworn Techniques Workshop! Far too much fun to be bothered with tidying up!

Here is a quick peek at some of the bits I have been practising..

Talking of Mr Skinner, I went down to Kent at the weekend to visit the Bessie, and whilst we were trying to decide what to do on the Saturday be both had emails come through from the Craft Barn telling us that they had an Inspiration Day and one of the Demonstrators was the man himself - well it took a nano of a nano second for us to decide that was where we were destined! What a lovely chap he is and it was nice to meet up with some other people who are doing his course and had the same idea as us!
Anyway, back to the present, I thought I should really have a tidy up before WOYWW... well I did (sort of) but then I got distracted by my Workshop supplies and....

..... started to play again before I took the picture I was going to use to pretend it was all nice and tidy this morning..

and here it is as it actually does look like this morning.. not much different from 24 hours ago is it??

Oh well the intention was there.......

Thank you for popping by, if you care to pop back again in the near future I will actually have some art to show you!

  1. My theory is that you can't create without getting messy so keep going! I wasn't able to get to the Barn at the weekend, sadly but it sounds a lot of fun.

  3. Haha. I can totally empathise... I'm having issues with tidying (or lack of it) myself, as evidenced by my own WOYWW photos!

Your Timeworn Techniques pieces look fabulous and you're obviously having a lot of fun with it. :)

    Thanks for sharing.

  9. Sounds like you are having too much fun to be bothered with something as time wasting as desk tidying. The course sounds a blast and your day out an even bigger blast so I hope you are having a good WOYWW too. Elizabeth x #21

  13. Glad you're enjoying the AS course....I've heard lots of good feedback about it.

And as for tidying up....it's definitely overrated!!

  14. I realize I am really late getting here, especially since I am #2. But I have had a terrible time keeping my computer running today. Seems it wants to shut down after I visit any blog.

I'm so glad you stopped by. I have missed you during WOYWW. IF I can get the computer to cooperate, I will be reviewing that Doodles Unleashed book tomorrow. Stop by if you like.

    Happy WOYWW.

  16. Cor, I wouldnt have minded seeing a demo by AS, and look how inspiring you found it! Have missed the triple golden syrup tins and the sight of your busy bench. is the bin bag really for rubbish or is it more stash?
The badges - there's an explanation on today's post...and of course if you can get over the silliness, you should send me your address!!
I think Blogger has seen fit to re-install the new WV on your blog...

  17. Ha, I remember that day when I first say your desk too! It will be forever etched in my brain and burnt into my retinas unfortunately!! Glad to see that some things haven't changed though, you're still making an unholy mess but also making great art and I'm still a neatnik making questionable cards!! One day we might both find a balance.

    Good to see you again,
    Hugs

  18. Amazing textured artwork, Nicks - well done! Am especially loving the rusty stuff further down and also above the page - I think it's interesting to consider whether rust simply corrodes, or if it can show another layer of something; and that's what you achieved :0) Thanks for popping by my Pen Pot, too, and have a fab WOYWW - Deb
