WOMTW!!!!!

Its a Whats On My Tray Wednesday..

This is the piece I made as a result of the Timeworn course I have just finished
The idea was a Teatray that was abandoned in the garden by my long deceased 'Uncle Seymour' - not sure why he left it there, maybe he was heartbroken because his true love who's photo he has tucked inside one of the books has abandoned him..

It should all be pretty weather proof, so its going to live outside in the garden (once this torrential rain stops..think that is too much to ask of it!)

I am rather proud of this watch I made from clay

whilst out on a walk I picked up a white feather that drifted down in front of me.. you see I believe in Angels, perhaps this was a message from Uncle Seymours Angel...

The moss was made from dryer lint mixed with PVA and coloured with acrylic.. a messy business

Dont think his keys will work anymore!

If you would like to see the rest of the pieces made by others on the course - have a look here
http://timeworn.andyskinnercrafts.com/gallery.html

The worthy winners were number one and number 10

If you have no idea what the acronym bit is all about - it should be WOYWW - whats on your workdesk wednesday - click on the link in my sidebar to be transported to desks far and wide

Thanks for looking - till next time x

  14. I so agree with Julia!! Stunning project and I am sure your garden will be the perfect home for it. If it doesn't stop raining, how about building a grungy shelter to house it? Am loving the look of that clock specially!!

  26. Wow, I was presuming it really was an old watch until I read that bit...the whole thing all looks so real. I could believe Uncle Seymour had only just put it down.

I also love the quote at the top of your blog, a wonderful idea of art being recycled into art, over and over again.
