WOW and Whoop

I have a counter on the bottom of my blog which counts the number of 'views' - I was gobsmacked to see it is now over 40,000 - and NO it doesn't count the number of times I log on - so I thank you for visiting my little corner of the world that I share with you.

I am still working on my piece for Andy's Timeworn Techniques course - I decided it needed a pocket watch - now I do have one in my stash, but didn't want to use it because 'I may need it for a far more important project' I'm sure many of you know that feeling.

So I made a pocket watch out of clay and I am pretty pleased with it.

This is the picture I posted on Andy's forum

but Andy suggested I treated it with another subtle technique - and I think its made all the difference in making it look much more 'Timeworn' (its supposed to have been out in the garden for the last 50 years!)

Small touches make all the difference and thats the beauty of working with someone who knows his stuff

As a treat for reading right to the end of this post I would like to share this link of a VERY awesome example of a handmade Book -
Make yourself a cuppa and settle down for a few minutes its absolutely STUNNING!

  2. I just love your watch and the little extra made all the difference. I just watched that incredible video by Randi Parkhurst. What a talent she is. I love making books and am self taught at book binding but I could never ever imagine getting anywhere near to the talent of this lady.....Im lucky if I get a simple book together, lol. Thanks for sharing. Lee x
