Someday, the altered art you make today will be
old, faded, falling apart, and someone else will salvage the bits and use them
in new altered art. It's the best that any piece of art can hope for

Back with avengence!

Feeling emotionally wrecked today, had my Aunts funeral yesterday which was sad/happy/emotional. She had organised the whole thing, down to the Order of service and Flowers at the wake. her DIL went into the florist armed with the info and the Florist just said, 'it's OK I know what she wants cos she came into to tell me just in case you got it wrong.' So the room was beautifully bedecked in Sunflowers (her favourite) Yellow Roses (her brothers favourite) and Lily of the Valley ( her sister/my mums favourite) they are now all in heaven together.

Sadly they have also been joined today by another dear friend of Docrafts, Joy. Who has lost her fight with the the c*** awful C word. Joy was a lady of great talent and a wonderful sense of humour, right to the end. She informed me only this week that Norfolk was on her hit list to visit this year and now as she wasn't going to make it, she would sit on her cloud and throw glitter at us instead.

Two wonderful amazing ladies....... Olive had this poem read at her funeral, I thought I might share it with you.

Miss Me, But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free!

Miss me a little, but not for long,
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love we once shared,
Miss me, but let me go!

For this a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone;
It's all a part of the master's plan
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me, but let me go.

But anyway, crafting has taken a back seat this week. I have missed my daily dose but have had no inclination or inspiration. But this morning I woke with the need to fiddle, so I have completed one of the five jigsaw bits that I owe for a Jigsaw swap.

The challenge was 'metal'...............................

Shabby Chic and Nature are in process IE first stage is drying on the radiator!

  5. I love my jigbit!

The glitter comment has finished me off - that and reading on DC that Joy swapped two of her fantastically intricate parchment ATCs with the 4 year old nephew of a member there, and made him a personalised ATC at Christmas.
