Someday, the altered art you make today will be
old, faded, falling apart, and someone else will salvage the bits and use them
in new altered art. It's the best that any piece of art can hope for

Happy New Year to All My Friends and Fellow Crafters..

I hope it is a good one for you, it's going to be a bit gloomy according to the media but at least us crafters have a little world of our own to retreat to if things get that bad!

This is my going to be my philosophy for 2009

If you’re going to create, create a lot.
Creativity is not like playing the slot machines, where failure to win means you go home broke. With creativity, if you don’t win,
you’re usually no worse off than if you hadn’t played.

- Scott Adams -

and this is going to be a project for 2009....

don't know quite yet what is going to happen to it, but when I saw it for sale at the Pre-school Bazaar, I knew I had to have it!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

  1. Hey Nicks! Thanks for virtually popping across the pond to give a shout out. So thrilled you love our book. You absolutely made my day. So. Tell me...have you seen Lost in Austen? We can't get it here in the US and I'm dying to know if it's any good. I am such an Austen junkie/anglophile/BBC freak. Are you on Facebook? cp

  2. happy new year Nicks..I dont make resolutions as I never keep to them..Thanks for your interesting comment on my blog (I too was no good at art at school and was passed over because I couldnt draw so I totally relate to what you said about art to please yourself rather than for other people. That block thing looks great..imagine all the different art you could put on it!!
