Someday, the altered art you make today will be
old, faded, falling apart, and someone else will salvage the bits and use them
in new altered art. It's the best that any piece of art can hope for

Not Sure what this ones name is... ( PLEASE don't tell Ken what I have done!)

but she is attending a masked ball so you wouldn't know if it was her anyway! A little birthday present for the lovely Katherine T (who needs to be told to update her blog!!).

This is how she started out, as one of my daughters old Barbie dolls and a soldered together 'skirt' haven't had my soldering iron out for a while, and although it was a bit tricky it was quite therapeutic after the stresses of Christmas.

Barbs was altered a bit, with the help of a bit of decopatch paper, paverpol and a clay mask, and finally dressed with bits and bobs, some emphermera, stamped polymer clay, altered cork, moulded watsits etc etc...

Saw you in Craft Stamper - congratulations for the success with your workshops.
Great blog too. I love Monty - and the altered Barbie could well be Frida Khalo.
