Completely out of my comfort zone

But so enjoying it! ..... I wanted this book to be a whole learning curve for me which is why I haven't got a definite theme, I wanted it to be full of techniques and inspiration, so I guess the theme is 'Inspiration' with some wise words to act as future reference when I need a kick!

This week slesson was 'folded pages' I have done two pages as you can see, at least one was the required homework but I have had to make myself stop at two cos I fear I may be running out of pages for the rest of the course!
Both pages are colours I don't normally use, papers I don't really like and sticky backed ribbon which I seem to have a huge pile of but have never understood why I bought it! and Oriental, which I know some people love but just leaves me cold. But all in all I am very happy with the end result, just goes to prove you should step back and make yourself do something different from time to time... (not that I am converted to ribbon, pink and flowers before anyone starts that dastardly rumour!)

Next week lesson..... involves Zips!! Now that sounds interesting!

BTW, update on Tilly, I could have saved myself the postage cos last minute plans were made late Saturday night that I should actually pop down to Kent on the Birthday Girls Birthday, last minute plans are good, we had a lovely time! 350 mile round trip and every inch worth it!...... Oh yes Tilly.... She is happy in her new home and her new mother seemed to like her!

  1. That course looks so much fun. I have put myself down for if she does another one. After altering the book into a jewellery box I'm hooked now!

  5. What a BRILL idea (wish I'd left more pages in my current book now). I'll remember for the future though, thanks for the inspiration.
