Remember to Jot it down!!

I have been scanning blog land for challenges this week and came across this one via Hels Blog with Gingersnap Creations - seemed nice and simple.. use embossing powder. Not sure such a vague theme is easier than a definite theme, in some ways it is more challenging. Anyway, I had read just a few days ago of a technique where you sprayed embossing ink onto your card, interesting I thought - you get a nice speckled effect. Nope............... you (well I did) got a splodgy effect and only succeeded in clogging up one of my mini misters and came to the conclusion it much easier to just dab your card with versamark and sprinkle powder on with your fingers - but thats the way to learn!

I didn't dislike the result enough not to use it, so I altered a reporters notebook with it and I am pleased with the final result. I had a go at making my version of Jennies Grungepaper Roses, except these are grungepaper some other sort of flower! I must just say though that the light was so bad here today that I resorted to scanning this project, so the flower is a bit squashed. It's much more dimensional in real life honest!

I am terrible at thinking I will remember stuff but I never do, hence the 'Jot it Down!'
