Not only did I receive a lovely surprise through the post yesterday from the lovely Nicki Macrae, of a Soapstone Carving Kit - mmm watch this space, she's one to challenge my creative talents! Not only that but she has featured me on her Blog as one of her 'Creative Hero's' - bless ya Nicki, but yes I did do the 'Tut - Oh get away bit' - Now you must check out her website, Nicki Paints if you want to see some gorgeous art!
Not only that but I am pleased to announce that progress is going well on the odd 'Balls' I made at my first 'Upcycle' class... not quite finished, but there has been a bit of a delay because Matt was ill last Thursday so I couldn't go to class and I missed the Rag Rugging class--- how bloomin inconsiderate of him! - He did feel a bit guilty though, which was just well because when he re-emerged from the bedroom, looking vaguely human again, he was quite amiable with the announcement, 'don't feel bad Darling, because Meg is doing a full days course dedicated to Needle Felting and Rag Rugging and I have booked myself in, as a Mothers Day treat' which I think was very kind of me because 1. It stops him feeling bad and 2. It saves him trailing the kids round looking for a pressie for me...... So whoopee doo that's where I am off tomorrow!
Oh last nights class was Freeform Knitting....and I was lucky enough to obtain a huge bag of wool through FreeCycle, so more of that to come! So many creative things to explore and so little time!
So all in all its been a good week..... Excuse me, I must just go and find a few t-shirts and things that I am sure the family don't want anymore..... (as long as they are the right colours!)
Ooooo UPDATE.... can things get any better?? Just received a lovely parcel from The Altered Element
so much playing to do and so little time as I have now got to go and help at Ed's School
