Gone Blocking Mad

Ok Ok I admit it, I have gone Blocking Mad!
After a mad but very enjoyable weekend taking Edward and his Best mate Joe to Legoland for the weekend, I found a couple of hours this afternoon to have a play in my favourite room in the house - My room of Tat.
I have started making a Christmas Project for The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog, and then did a very quick Block as my entry this week for Hels Sunday Stamper Challenge which this week is 'Winter'
Although I used a stamp from the AS Christmas collection, I didn't want to make it Christmassy.
At the beginning of the year I promised myself to used more of my own handwriting on projects - why is is I am happy to use stamps with less than perfect script, as I see it as quirky, but when I write it myself I see it as 'bad' writing?
Anyway I bit the bullet today when this 'quote' came into my head, I don't think I made it up, I must have read it somewhere and stored it into one of my limited brain cells, but I cant credit to anyone because I don't know where I read or heard it - perhaps I did make it up LOL
The block was sprayed liberally with Cosmic shimmers and then wiped over with a babt wipe. I used some Puffy Paint from a previous Altered Element kit and then 'topped' with Mother of Pearl UTEE.
The AS stamp is behind a Microscope Slide and then 'faux' soldered around the edge with Silver UTEE - not sure you can see in the photo but there is some more Mother of Pearl Utte sprinkled on the glass over the snowy area and trees.
Winter is not my favourite season, so this will stand in my kitchen to remind me to be optimistic and remember Spring is not too far away!
