For the last two years we have been thinking about opening the fireplace in the front room so we can revert to an open fire - each year we never quite get around to it - maybe next year, in the meantime I will have to make do with this image!
I made this background using - surprise surprise - yep you have guessed it some Distress inks! Then flicked some droplets of water at it - this technique of Mr Holtz always produces different results. It this case it does look like burning embers so this lovely AS stamp is just perfect for it.
I covered the whole thing with a couple of layers of UTEE and then stamped the image onto a piece of tissue paper. If you then lay the image onto the warm UTEE and cover with yet another layer the tissue paper seems to disappear leaving just the image behind - although interestingly you can just see it in the photo - must be the flash because I defy you to see it in real life.

When I get home I will curl up on the sofa with a glass of something nice and a cuddle with someone nicer!
mmmm open fire, lovely - even lovelier with a glass of something nice and someone nicer to cuddle!
ReplyDeleteI think you may have to show me the tissue paper technique. You can ALWAYS see mine. Lol.
