WOYWW - enough is enough ..

I am sure the sight of a tidy desk last week was much to much for a lot of you - but you will be pleased that normal service has been resumed this week!
Actually my desk has been like this since Monday - as the weather so so bloomin miserable (as is the apparent norm on an UK bank holiday) I took the opportunity to spend some time at my desk -

but as it turned out it was just as miserable there as well - nothing went right as you can see from this example. I was trying out a faux floorboard technique by Andy skinner - the actual background was OK but then it went all wrong when I started stamping on it ;-( - if you want to see how it should be done then check out Andy's blog where he is doing some free tutorials http://andyskinnerorg.blogspot.co.uk/ he has also set up a new website for his online workshops - I thoroughly recommend anyone to have a go, I have been doing his Timeworn course and have had a ball - sadly its now coming to an end but but I now have the Evil Elixir Mixer one to look forward to!

Here are a couple of shots of my project I have been doing as a final piece for the Timeworn Course ( I showed you the bare bones of it last week) - cant show you the final piece just yet because a) its not finished and b) it's only polite to upload it to the Timeworn site first

For anyone who is wondering how my poor dog is after the sad photo last week of her, she is now fully recovered and back to being a happy dog - if you ever pass my house this is the sight you are likely to see... she was very frustrated last week at not being able to get her head through the cat flap and watch the world go by!

TTFN - hope you all have a good week, I'm now off to visit as many of you as I can

Nicks x

  6. I think your faux floorboard looks really interesting! I wish I'd had time to craft during the weekend - we had houseguests, meaning a total of 4 kids under 4! Ack!

P.S. D'you know you have word recognition turned on? I know a lot of people struggle with it and don't/can't comment if it's turned on... I didn't even realise it was turned on on my blog till someone commented to tell me! Blogger had turned it on by default during the last upgrade!!
